Since we aren't meeting in person, we can't provide snacks. Here is a treat you can enjoy at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups puffed rice cereal

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Beat together butter and sugars.
  3. Stir in mix in the egg and vanilla.
  4. Stir in the salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour.
  5. Fold in puffed rice.
  6. Use a spoon to drop dough onto a cookie baking pan, about two inches apart.
  7. Bake 14-16 minutes, until golden brown.
