Since we aren't meeting in person, we can't provide snacks. Here is a treat you can enjoy at home!
Puffed Rice Drop Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 cups puffed rice cereal
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Beat together butter and sugars.
- Stir in mix in the egg and vanilla.
- Stir in the salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour.
- Fold in puffed rice.
- Use a spoon to drop dough onto a cookie baking pan, about two inches apart.
- Bake 14-16 minutes, until golden brown.
